Fun with the WHOLE family -Candi

Well I forgot about my goal, but I will try to post as frequently as possible for the next week and catch up. One of the fun things we have been up to is visiting with Dani and Tom. They were able to come out twice in December, and last month they came and stayed for almost a full week. We were also able to meet them in Moab in March. It was really fun to get away for a few days, and Mom, Dad, Hyrum, Emma, and Brad were able to join us. We had a little family drama, but all in all it was a great trip. It has also been really nice to have Jed and Suzanne and their family living so close for a while now. We have been able to spend lots of time together and it has been really fun.

Of course there have been many projects and, sad to say, way too much screaming. My goal is to post every day next week, each day with something we've done in the past several months. Hopefully I'll be back soon!

Having a blast

It was so windy and warm yesterday. The boys had a great idea of going to fly a kite, and before too long we had five kites flying in our front yard. We had a great time. To quote Erik "Now I'm really having fun." We will have a lot more days like these now that I have decided to quit my job. I am so excited to be able to focus on my family like I need to right now. I have a lot of years ahead to work, but for now I have some great kids to really enjoy. Erik has a year and a half until he goes to Kindergarten, and then he will only be in school for 2 to 3 hours a day, and Nate only has 4 years until he will be about ready to leave on his mission. Time goes too fast, so for now I will enjoy these sweet little kids.

Same old stuff

Hey everybody!


We're still here, and nothing too exciting has happened. The Kids have been doing great with my work schedule, Thanks to Suz and Kelly for all the extra help. About the only thing that has changed around here since I started working is my weight.  I think I've gained about 5 pounds, and it took me this long to realize it because all I had been wearing were scrubs and my comfy jeans.  I put on a pair of regular (for me that is tight) jeans on Saturday and had an awakening as to what has been really going on.  Oh well, it is winter and my husband still loves me.  I saw something on the Today show this morning about the sleep diet.  They have done studies that if women will get 7.5 hours of sleep, and go to bed at the same time every night, they will automatically lose weight, about 1 to 2 pounds per week.  Well that is not possible for me right now with this job, but I know that the sleep thing is a really big deal.  I have been talking to Kelly about how we could solve much of our problems with just getting to bed at a decent hour.  We wouldn't be so irritable with our kids if we weren't so tired, and we would have more time for each other.  It really is a good idea, I may just have to quit this job after all!                   (Check out Kelly's nerd kit in his pocket)

New picture

I'm not sure why Kelly picked such ugly pictures of us for this last post (see below).  I look like a drowned rat, and Kelly looks like he is ready to barf.  If I try to change the pictures out it will look like my last post (see Halloween below), so I will just put a better photo of us here.  It will make me feel better anyway.   Candi

Figuring Out this Format thing-Kelly

Here are some more pictures from halloween. The kids had a great time. I have never been a huge fan of halloween. At least since I've become an adult. But the kids sure enjoy it.

The weather has finally tu

rned to winter here. It has been in the 30's this week. But it is nice since there is only 7 weeks until Christmas.

  

Here is an awesome picture of me in Hawaii two years ago. We were on a sea kayaking adventure. It was pretty fun and entertaining.

Candi started working last week and I just wanted to tell her that I love her so much. I'm glad that she has been able to stay home with the kids these last 15 years. She is such a good wife and mother. She will probably be mad that I put a picture of just her on here but Oh well.

Thanks to everyone that has helped out with the kids these last two weeks.  We sure appreciate it.
