I'm so excited - Cassie

I'm so excited me and my family are going to dom and tani's house on the 28 of august. It will be so fun!!!!

I was putting Jennie's rollerblades away and when I set them down I saw a little brown thing. I thought it was a rock, but when I flipped the rollerskate over I saw that it was furry. I thought it was a mouse, but then it flew out. It was a BAT!!! It flew off, but I was really scared. It freaked me out. He didn't bite me so that was really good.

Haircuts...Hooray! -Candi

After much discussion and a really good bribe we finally convinced Nate to get a hair cut. Doesn't he look so nice. I think he secretly really likes it too.

The other boys got hair cuts too, and they look very handsome also. Matt had a pretty big fit about geting his hair cut this time. He honestly thinks Napoleon's hair is good looking. So I'm not sure how long I will be able to enjoy this nice neat hair, but I am really happy right now.

Even the Girls got in on the action (Jennies never got brushed after her nap though).
Well, we are off in search of some healthy dinner. Kelly and I have been on a really low calorie diet with a ton of exercise, so we are all starving. I think we will go to Blimpie. See ya!

Who is this? - Candi

At the BBQ uncle Rick brought some photos from the past.  I found this one of Dani and just had to post it.  She was so young then, and we miss her so much.

Then I came across this one, and for a brief moment I wasn't sure what fiesta Mom was attending.  After a second I recognized "Pedro"as Dad, and a little later I realized that "Rosa" (to the right of the picture) was Dani.  She was around 15 at the time and looks a little like a middle aged mexican woman, but I was able to pick her o
ut.  When I was giggling about the photo Kelly asked me what I was talking about.  When I described it he said "you mean the woman wearing a pioneer outfit is Dani?  No way!" He had looked thru the pictures before me and remembered seeing and wondering who the heck that was.  We found the picture and he had to look at it for a while before he would believe me.  We love you Dani, but this is a really funny picture.  (P.S. If you need some ammo to fire back grandpa took a horrible picture of me at the BBQ.  I was doing some sort of strange contortion as I was taking a picture, and he wouldn't let me delete it.)

A Saturday Full of Fun- Candi

On Saturday we celebrated Grandma and Grandpa Stevens 60th wedding anniversary with a BBQ at Mom's house.  It was a lot of fun.  (My camera died before I got a picture of Grandma and Grandpa together).  We missed Dani and Tom a lot.  Family gatherings are not going to be the same without them for a few years.

Vicky also had a BBQ at her new home later that evening.  It was so nice of her to get everyone together.  Cassie, Jennie, and Erik were in charge of the photography.  Here are some of their pics.

I am amazed at the resemblance between Kelly's brother Paul's kids and ours.  This is Brooke, and this picture doesn't do them justice, but her and Byron could be twins.
Matt and Katie could be twins also.
And this is Paul and Paula's baby Molly.  She looks a ton like Jennie did when she was a baby.  Needless to say, their kids are darling.
Cassie took these pictures of Kelly and Paul, and she thinks they look like twins too.  They have the exact same cheesy grin.  They are like twins because they are only 11 months apart.

We Miss You Already- Erik and Candi

Brooke and Riley have only been gone a few days and we miss them already. We are hoping you guys will be back within just a few short years, and we will have to have lots of visits. We love you!!!!
The boys are having a huge air soft war right now and Erik is pretty jealous. Just a little bit older and he can join in the carnage.

Fun with the Cousins- Jennie

We had a big sleep over last week. I got to sleep on the couch. Brookie and Kate were here, and so was Riley, Luke, Jared, and Isaac. We had waffles at Nana's house and then we went to the parade. I had fun. Bye.

-Fourth 0f July- Cassie

We did fireworks on the sixth of July. We did crakle bombs, flowers, and rocket fountains. My dad lit a fountain and at the right time he threw it up in the air and when it came down it exploded!
